Well, it is finally done. I finished the little house in the prairie shawlette which I made for young Gulnaaz. I still dislike blocking but this pattern is best blocked. The colours are ones she picked from some paint shade cards and I stumbled on some sock yarn that were a pretty good match. My oldest son and his girlfriend had a civil marriage in Thailand this week. In July, they move to Nanjing, to start his new job, after graduating with his IB in TESOL. The Fine Sweater is finally complete! Great pattern by Yu Jie, based on the comic by KC Green. This is definitely the most complicated thing I’ve ever knitted, and I think it took me as long to embroider it and weave in the ends as it did to knit it, but I’m glad I did it. Not recommended for anyone who is a perfectionist, though.

St Brigid update - The Sleevening...

Finally, this afternoon, I finished the third sleeve. I'm not a mutant (well I am, but that's another tale) I managed to mess up the initial increases in the first sleeve and it was too noticeable to let go, so in the end I ended up making three...

Still a way to go though, I need to knit the torc collar, decide if I want to do the same for cuffs and even hem
