I received a replacement #Kingsmith #WalkingPad for the one I originally purchased. The original one would suddenly speed up or slow down while I was walking, even though it was set to Manual mode at 3km/h. I thought it was probably defective so I asked that they send a replacement.

Well, I almost fell of a few times already because these problems seem to not be isolated to just 1 unit. I will ask for a refund and look for a different brand of #underDesk #walking #treadmill.

Recommendations?

Thanks to #OpenSource by @ph4r05 and Romses I just managed to revive my #WalkingPad though the crappy original software decided I would not use it this evening and grow fatter.

If you need a walking pad with really crappy, crash prone and inquisitive software from China, #Kingsmith is your brand.
It needs access to your GPS AND an account to count your steps and still crashes and fails to login.

Thanks again for saving my health, ph4r05, romses.

@phranck ich habe ein #Kingsmith #walkingpad r2.
Funktioniert super, ist einigermaßen leise, und es gibt auf GitHub einen Python Bluetooth connector. Das Kingsmith walkingpad p1 kann ich hingegen nicht empfehlen.
