@lashman

This reminds me of both Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Kingdoms of Amalur. And I know THQ Nordic bought the IP for the latter. Dare I hope?

In any case it's like $8 and there is a review on #Steam that just says "It has a kick button.", so I'm in.

Playing #KingdomsOfAmalur again tonight for my #gaming fix and I find that I've been using Reckoning mode a lot more often now than I did previously. I mean I used it before, but more often I felt it was overkill and just saved it for boss fights since I'm so overpowered.
But now, after the extremely long slog that is the mid-late game, I feel like both me AND my character are getting fed up with the trash that keeps attacking me, and we need the cathartic release of reckoning the fuck out of anyone who looks at us the wrong way.
I'm still making my way through #KingdomsOfAmalur but good god this is a long damn game. It's very clear they built it on the bones of an MMO because it is full of grind.
Anyhow, I haven't really done much stealth killing, but I have to say I really do enjoy the "choke hold from behind and STAB STAB STAB to the chest" kill animation. Peak #gaming

Usually when I play #KingdomsOfAmalur I just pick a playstyle from the start and stick to it, usually getting bored after a while but being too stuck in my tracks to re-spec.
This time was different. I had an idea what I wanted to do in the end, but swapped between different weapon combinations quite often. One of the few games where I like playing as a woman as that feels more fitting for the weapons I want in the end. Fae-blades and chakrams, fast, nimble, lots of acrobatics.

... I ended up clobbering my enemies with a greatsword for most of the playthrough and only switched it up for the last area of the main story. Didn't know how much I missed my little whirlwind of death. <3

My Kingdoms of Amalur character appears to have social anxiety, preferring to not directly at this scary man.

So #gaming tonight is more #KingdomsOfAmalur and due to my overwhelming need to do EVERY sidequest and my carefully designed build...I am stupidly overpowered for what I'm doing, even at just 24.
I got ambushed by what seems like it should have been a wild fight with easily a dozen enemies, but in the end I probably could have facetanked it.
For our #gaming tonight it's back to #KingdomsOfAmalur and I'm a bit overleveled at this point, a common complaint I'm told.
I've gone for a Nightblade build, and am currently level 22 and both ridiculously powerful and squishy as hell.
My #gaming tonight is back to the action side of things in #KingdomsOfAmalur and I gotta say I am surprised that I'm not affected by the numerous giant faces in this game. Usually "larger than a person" faces trigger some wonky part of my brain that does not like big shit, but the ones in this game don't do it. No idea why.
One amusing thing about playing #KingdomsOfAmalur as a #CriticalRole fan is Matt and Liam voice *so* many random NPCs. Laura's in there too, though not as often.
More #KingdomsOfAmalur for my #gaming session tonight. A bit of a fit update, as we're well advanced in the plot at this point.
