Still avoiding YouTube. But this came back into my head today.

When I was a kid there was a cool old-fashioned ice cream parlor down the street. Upstairs there was a candy counter, and some old-fashioned (REALLY old-fashioned) hand-cranked machine (either a Kinetoscope or a Mutoscope) where you could watch short silent cartoons for a nickel. Felix the Cat was my favorite.

I miss cool stuff like that!
