Il Tempo: Svizzera, si dà fuoco sul bus: sei morti. "Atto volontario" e ipotesi terrorismo

Si ipotizza un "atto volontario", forse terroristico per la strage su un autobus in Svizzera a Kerzers (Chiètres), nel Canton Friburgo. Con il fuoco, come a Crans-Montana. Almeno sei persone sono morte nell'incendio che ha divorato un autobus di linea nel pomeriggio di ieri. Altri quattro passeggeri e un soccorritore sono rimasti feriti, ha annunciato la polizia di Friburgo in una conferenza stampa tenutasi intorno alle 22. Le autorità non hanno però al momento detto quante persone fossero a bordo del veicolo al momento dell'incendio. Tre dei feriti sono in gravi condizioni. Uno di loro è stato trasportato in elicottero in ospedale.
Al momento, la polizia sta esaminando con priorità la pista di una causa umana alla base dell'incendio, "e persino di un atto deliberato", ha dichiarato uno degli inquirenti. Alcuni testimoni hanno infatti affermato che uno sconosciuto "ha consapevolmente utilizzato un ordigno incendiario", ha osservato Frédéric Papaux, portavoce del team investigativo. Al momento però l'evento non è stato dichiarato né un atto terroristico né un'azione dovuta a un gesto di protesta estrema, quale un'autoimmolazione.  Christa Bielmann, portavoce della polizia cantonale friburghese, ha dichiarato che "circola un'informazione secondo cui una persona si sarebbe cosparsa di liquido infiammabile all'interno del bus, provocando così l'incendio" ma ha affermato che è un "elemento che fa parte delle indagini in corso e che sarà chiarito”. Al momento non è stato reso noto se la persona ce avrebbe provocato l'incendio sia fra i morti o i feriti. 
"Mi sconvolge e mi addolora che ancora una volta delle persone abbiano perso la vita in un grave incendio in Svizzera. Le dinamiche dell'accaduto sono in fase di accertamento. Esprimo il mio cordoglio ai familiari delle vittime di Kerzers. Il mio pensiero va ai feriti e ai soccorritori", ha scritto sui social Guy Parmelin, presidente della Confederazione Svizzera.

It is hypothesized that a “voluntary act,” possibly terrorist, was behind the massacre on a bus in Switzerland in Kerzers (Chiètres), in the Canton of Fribourg. With fire, as in Crans-Montana. At least six people died in the fire that consumed a bus in the afternoon yesterday. Another four passengers and a rescuer were injured, announced the Fribourg police in a press conference held around 10 p.m. The authorities have not yet said how many people were on board the vehicle at the time of the fire. Three of the injured are in critical condition. One of them was transported by helicopter to the hospital.

At present, the police are prioritizing the investigation of a human cause at the base of the fire, “and even a deliberate act,” said one of the investigators. Some witnesses have reportedly stated that an unknown person “consciously used an incendiary device,” observed Frédéric Papaux, spokesperson for the investigative team. However, at present the event has not been declared either a terrorist act or an action due to an extreme protest gesture, such as self-immolation. Christa Bielmann, spokesperson for the Fribourg cantonal police, stated that “information has circulated according to which a person would have splashed themselves with flammable liquid inside the bus, thus causing the fire” but stated that it is a “element that is part of the ongoing investigations and will be clarified”. It is not yet known whether the person would have caused the fire among the dead or the injured.

“I am deeply disturbed and saddened that once again people have lost their lives in a serious fire in Switzerland. The dynamics of the incident are being investigated. I express my condolences to the families of the victims in Kerzers. My thoughts go to the injured and the rescuers,” Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation, wrote on social media.
