I just did my review of the Sherlock Holmes Complete BBC Collection available on Audible. Hear it on today's Kelly and Ramya show rerun or podcast. #AmiAudio #Kellyram
Today on the Kelly and ramya show, I concluded my WWDC discussion. Next week, we begin a tradition I have called the Summer of Fun. All Summer long, I focus on entertainment including audio dramas, podcasts, accessible games, special audio events, and other fun which might come our way. #AMIAudio #KellyRam
Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I did a segment on the Kelly and Ramya show about charging your tablets, accessories and smartphones from a blindness perspective. We touched on power banks, charging methods, and cables. I hope it helps people find good solutions for their needs. Kelly and Ramya

Kelly and Ramya is AMI-audio’s daily live afternoon program. Listen for interviews and discussion about arts, entertainment and lifestyle information directly affecting the blind and partially sighted community. Contributors from across the country share information on everything from parenting and finance to fashion and gaming. Plus, catch live performances from Canadian musicians, comedians and actors.

Step five repeats during the late morning and afternoon prior to the show. I go through the prep notes using my Braille display. This gets me more efficient reading through the notes. I make certain there's some time between when I do that and when I'm going on the air. This helps me be ready for the unexpected so I don't feel that things need to proceed exactly as written. That's key to having a natural friendly presence and coming away from the broadcast with a good feeling. #KellyRam #blind
Step three happens Thursday morning. I take those initial segment notes and turn them into prep notes for use while on air. Questions I'm asked are numbered so I have a sense of where we've gotten to in conversation. Answer info is as brief as possible, often just names or a few key words and phrases. Step four happens later on. I go through the segment notes followed by my prep notes so more info clings and triggers in my brain off of the prep notes. #KellyRam #blind
here's what I do do prepare for my segments on the Kelly and Ramya show. Step one is deciding what to write about and listening to or otherwise experiencing it. Step two is writing the segment notes for the show hosts and I to use. That process takes hours in most cases. Especially if I'm writing about a longer audio drama or experience. Chasing down facts, listening again to parts, etc. I hand the notes in on Tuesday at the very latest. #blind #KellyRam
People can also check out the Kelly and Ramya show as a podcast in their preferred podcast client or use the AMI TV app for iOS. My fifteen minutes of fame always fly past and feel intense. You never really get used to being live on air even with such excellent show hosts and crew. There's always an adrenaline rush. I'm now relaxing on my balcony hoping that the construction noise won't get too annoying. Haven't had to switch off my hearing aids yet. No wood do knock on out here. #AMI #KellyRam
Earlier this afternoon, I did my segment for the Kelly and Ramya show on AMI TV. I talked about Mastodon, the Mona app, and Jonathan Mosen's excellent tutorial about it. I think things came off prety well and hope I've made a good enough case for people to decide to check all of this out for themselves. www.ami.ca #AMI #KellyRam
