Michael Feirhere's what I do do prepare for my segments on the Kelly and Ramya show. Step one is deciding what to write about and listening to or otherwise experiencing it. Step two is writing the segment notes for the show hosts and I to use. That process takes hours in most cases. Especially if I'm writing about a longer audio drama or experience. Chasing down facts, listening again to parts, etc. I hand the notes in on Tuesday at the very latest. #blind #KellyRam
Step five repeats during the late morning and afternoon prior to the show. I go through the prep notes using my Braille display. This gets me more efficient reading through the notes. I make certain there's some time between when I do that and when I'm going on the air. This helps me be ready for the unexpected so I don't feel that things need to proceed exactly as written. That's key to having a natural friendly presence and coming away from the broadcast with a good feeling. #KellyRam #blind
