#Android sollte weiter offen bleiben, damit wir weiterhin frei entscheiden können welche #Apps wir installieren möchten. Oder sollten wir bald ein #Linuxphone verwenden?

If you haven't seen this yet, Google is planning to require mandatory developer
identity verification for all Android apps, including apps distributed outside
the Play Store, taking effect September 2026. This affects every independent
and open source Android developer directly.

The community has been fighting back at keepandroidopen.org.

The more projects
that speak up the harder it is for Google to ignore.

If it hadn't been for #keepandroidopen , my plan had now been to make acrylic paintings with QR code on water and juice bottles at a large Juice press.

Can't be done now ;/

I am now looking for someone who will create an icon theme for Linux with me and release new versions.

And then I can do that with the juice press.
