This game is hard... so many un-un-installable applications, system critical apps built with bloat as a dependencies,
Make sure you don't accidentally get talked into dropping the Accessiblity though. Almost get me but I read the Carta description
"Accessibility settings (useful for apps creating virtual buttons such as a pie-menu) Weirdly, removing this package can cause a bootloop if you set a lock code on your phone. Also used for clearing system cache from apps such as SD-Maid."
#Mozilla partners with Mil, a Montréal-based AI research institute focused on machine learning, to advance #OpenSource and sovereign #AI, aiming to reduce dependence on closed AI systems controlled by big players like OpenAI and Anthropic. The project targets trust and usability, including private memory for AI agents. This is a move in the right direction. Like it or not AI is an important technology and we need to move it away from closed systems.
5,000 GitHub stars – many thanks!
We are delighted to have reached this milestone and to see such interest in OpenCloud. Thanks to everyone who follows the project, shapes it, shares content, or supports us with a star on GitHub.
Just age verification things. 🫤

These friend be puttin in the HARD YARDS. This tool is becoming a very powerful resource to help you #degoogle
It lists out all the apps you have and checks them against their database finds a record of it and lists that right out for you as #foss or #proprietary
If you disagree with the provided information I have found them to be very responsive to updates both in the app fir the database and in their issues on Git.

Seems Loomio.com no longer allows even public groups and discussions to be viewed by someone who isn't logged in (at least for me on LibreWolf /Fedora). Which means the public consultation on NZGOAL-SE;
https://www.loomio.org/g/NohQxyr9/nzgoal-software-extension-discussion-of-draft
... linked here;
https://www.data.govt.nz/toolkit/policies/nzgoal/nzgoal-se
Can't be viewed by any member of the public without a Loomio account, as it originally could be.
Is this due to a bug, or to commercially-motivated enshittification?
I feel like I did some kinda level up when I learned how to #github as an #android issuer trying to go #foss
I had made the exit out of the paystore but I felt a crunch at where to report issues now. No more stars to trust. No more in line comments from other users.
Is there a project for this? One that would sync up to the various gits (lab, hub. ect) and allow better user to developer relationships?
Could it be possible
#sideloading (n.) /ˈsaɪdˌloʊdɪŋ/
A word invented by corporations to make
"installing an application on a device you own" sound dangerous.
Usage: "You shouldn't sideload that."
Translation: "You shouldn't install applications we didn't approve."
