Tam Shepherds, a Glasgow institution since 1886, have closed their joke shop, believed to be the world's oldest, due to high costs and redevelopment in the area. The good news is their online shop remains open. I'm sure many of you have fond memories of visiting this wee place.
To me big multinational corporations are acting, wittingly or unwittingly, as a cartel with the aim to stifle small businesses. And policy always supports them (how much tax does Starbucks pay in comparison with the family run coffee shop next door?) Leaves everything dull and beige!
