Third full-length album from Brixton London post-punks Nick Marsh, James Mitchell, Rocco Barker, Derek “Del Boy” Greening, and Kevin Mills—and their first on Beggars Banquet/Capitol. (Capitol in the US, Beggars Banquet in the UK).

The lead single “I Go Crazy” was featured in the film Some Kind of Wonderful and became a minor hit.

This LP was followed by Plastic Fantastic which was their last album with this lineup.

This was the sophomore studio album by Brixton’s Flesh For Lulu, released by London-based Statik Records in 1985. Nick Marsh (vocals, guitar), James Mitchell (drums), Kevin Mills (bass), Rocco Baker (guitar), with Cassell Webb (percussion).

Great mid-eighties post-punk / gothic sound. They later signed to Beggars Banquet and then Capitol Records.

My copy—via the now-defunct Vinyl Destination in Lowell, MA—includes also the original Blue Sisters Swing EP on 12″ vinyl.

Peter Hyams – Unternehmen Capricorn (1978)

Der Fake der Mondlandung ist für mich die Mutter aller Verschwörungstheorien in der Ära des Farbfernsehens. Während ich für die Apollo-Missionen zu jung war, um mich zu erinnern, habe ich den Thriller von Peter Hyams nie vergessen. Auch weil Elliott Gould hier den Prototypen eines Investigativjournalisten gibt, der den Schwindel der US-Regierung auffliegen lässt.

Callan Uncovered is a collection of the Callan short stories written by James Mitchell. Callan is the greatest TV spy series of all time. It worked better as a TV series but the short stories are subtly different and worthwhile if you're a fan.
