A commentary on Isaiah 9 verses 4 & 6. How they are connected by a strong imagery that is oddly missing from most major commentaries.

Interesting imagery I had never noticed in #Isaiah9 til today & in doing some initial research cant find #BibleCommentaries that address it all. Curious what other #theology or #Bible thinkers think. In verse 4 we have the image of the Yoke of oppression being broken from the shoulders, then in contrast verse 6 The Government is on the shoulder. The imagery of going from oppression to supremacy on the same shoulders is beautiful. Is there more to this imagery or is it just a beautiful picture?
