Potentially a nuclear take here but the Holocaust was not the first genocide
27th January is Holocaust Memorial Day. This year marks, 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and 30 years since the genocide in Bosnia.

In remembrance and to stand against prejudice that still exists in the world today, place a lit candle in your window at 8pm tonight 🕯️
Spoilers, a serious post is approaching!
I feel International Holocaust Memorial Day represents the best and worst of humanity. Genocides are a stain on the world's soul that may never come off.
Genocides start as whispers, that slowly turn into storms, that destroy nearly everything.
In saying that, there are thousands of amazing survivors, as well as people that have helped and fought against this evil, and continue to fight.
As a collective species, I believe there are two things that we can do about it.
Firstly, we need justice for the victims and their families, along with the heavy prosecution of the guilty parties.
Secondly, would be education. This involves teaching not just the younger generation, but your family, friends, and co-workers about the truth, and to push back against misinformation and prejudice.
"Never again" are not just words or a motto. It's a promise and we have to keep it.
#LightTheDarkness
Never again. Spread your light.
