The Science and Technology Act 1987 obliges the IDA and Enterprise Ireland to get Government approval if they want to give public money to companies who may be involved in servicing military activities. This Government wants to end that public oversight. 😡

And note the #defencewashing of the military industrial complex.

This is why we benefit from having the need for UN Security Council or General Assembly consent for sending DF members out into an international military force. Remove that, and we lose a key defence against that sort of phenomenon at EU level. #IrishNeutrality #TripleLock
