StrypeySo, basically, we're taking electricity that we currently convert directly to heat, and running it through computers first. Making heat that way. Instead of powering two AC systems - one for the apartment building and one for a datacentre - we're using one AC system for both.
This is an application of permaculture design principles to information systems - an aspect of what permies call "invisible structures".

A computer system is not an organic farm or lifestyle block. But a digital 'place' like a website can still be a subject for permaculture site design, using the same design ethics, principles, and methods.
Permaculture systems design can be applied to organisations and institutional relationships under the umbrella of "invisible structures", at any scale or combination of them. This approach can be applied to computer systems design too.
@wolftune @wuhei @aral intriguing. So #Ghost is registered in the US, under their laws? The state / federal split is not one we have in Aotearoa (NZ), so I'll admit there's a lot I don't know about how many kinds of incorporated entity there are in US law and how they all work. What kind is Ghost? Any links about how they chose and operate their legal structure (spot the #InvisibleStructures geekboy ;)?
