So there is a lot of fiction about people getting brain controlled, but the one that has stuck in my brain (pun… unintended?) was the 1986 remake of ‘Invaders From Mars’.

I watched it at a friend’s house when I was like 10 and it was very disturbing at the time, with parents and teachers falling under the influence of the aliens. It has pretty gnarly effects and was directed by Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Lifeforce).
