If you're doing #BehaviorChange work or are active with #HarmReduction or other #Prevention efforts, you may like the recordings I made of a lecture I gave yesterday at Maastricht University about step 3 (and a bit about step 2) of #InterventionMapping:
Part 1️⃣: https://youtu.be/o98CjCQfYDA
Part 2️⃣: https://youtu.be/dxEagVd5kcM
Also: does anybody know whether there's a Fediverse server I could have uploaded these to instead?
(please boost, especially because I'm curious about that question 😬)
Friday the 7th of July 2023, the #InterventionMapping (IM) summer course that trains professionals to systematically design theory- and evidence-based #BehaviorChange interventions ended, certifying around fifty fresh IM-trained professionals.
The closing session beautifully reflected the nature of the Intervention Mapping community. I'll explain a bit about that here.
(after three more introductory toots with some background info)

From July 3-7, 2023, the #𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 takes place in Maastricht, the Netherlands. You can register and find more information at lnkd.in/ehU7rvRx
The summer course will focus on developing theory-based and evidence-based interventions applied to health promotion and disease prevention.
Acyclic Behavior Change Diagrams (ABCDs) aim to address this problem, and in addition, provide a tool to support intervention development.
ABCDs are not an intervention development framework (such as #InterventionMapping, the #BehaviorChangeWheel, or #SocialMarketing), but they complement such frameworks by providing a tool to document and communicate about the assumptions underlying an intervention.
We call these assumptions the causal-structural chains.

Just copied over my first thread from Twitter! On the one hand, it's a bit more work as you have to find the GIFs and store them locally, but on the other hand, then you have them ready for future use! 🙂
If you do things with #BehaviorChange, #HealthPromotion, #HealthPsychology, or specific applications such as #InterventionMapping or the #BehaviorChangeWheel, you might want to check the thread out - it's at https://mastodon.nl/@matherion/109338006503804990
Attached: 1 image As I basically don't trust Twitter any more, I'll repost some threads that I want to retain for future reference, and for my fellow Mastodon users :mastodon: [ original posting date: 2020-07-30 ] The online app to create an Acyclic Behavior Change Diagram is available! 🤩 This userfriendly Shiny app has been coded by the talented @[email protected], using the behaviorchange #rstats package as a backend.
