Silver ArrowsWell, I have black now anyway. Three new cartridges and three more bottles of black ink later, my black nozzle is mostly clear. I'll leave it to settle overnight.
Luckily my cyan and yellow decided to pretend to be empty while I was doing the head cleans, so at least I got everything done in one go.
I tried to drip 1ml of cleaning fluid onto the head clean pad (it's meant to help keep things moist at the print head to stop the inks drying), only I ended up squirting cleaning fluid everywhere and now I hope I haven't fixed the black only to brick the entire printer.
At what point does it go from cleaning to collecting?
24.7 was kind enough to give me a new cartridge, but I had the same issue with the ink leaking through the shell. They said not to worry, but I didn't like it. And the nozzle checks came out blank (I probably should have done a cleaning cycle to clear out any remaining cleaning fluid). So I ordered a new cartridge from my old supplier #CityInkExpress who had now started selling individual carts. I asked if they could sell black with a dye ink or no ink instead of pigment, they said no, they're liquidating all their stock, so I was like, screw it, and ordered it anyway. To my surprise, when my order arrived, I got two bottles of dye ink! Nice!
I hope this will be the end of my black ink clogging saga. Please let this be the end. Please đđđđđ
