Another year, another round of fun with stupidly inflated prices for my regular inhaler.

Tried to fill the prescription for it again at Rite Aid yesterday, only to be told they'd have to charge me north of $200 instead of the $40 I paid the last couple times I renewed it.

So I called up my insurance just now to ask them WTF, and they said that the policy was that I would HAVE to use CVS or mail order. Which is, in a word, _bullshit_. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this on the call (only, y'know, _politely_), though I also made it clear that I understood this was not the fault of the guy I was talking to.

@agenderfox @Duusi I mean, I've seen #Ecofacists blame #Asthma #Inhalers for #ClimateChange when in fact even if all athmatics were to constantly blow their inhalers 24/7 they'd not even come close to the amounts of #CFC11 still emitted [even by local laws!] illegally in #China...

Seriously, even #Beijing enforces the #MontrealProtocol and literally 13.000t got released since 2006...

#Inhalers are big business with revenue in the billions for companies such as GlaxoSmithKline & AstraZeneca, partly because they cost $200-$600. That has now been cut to $35 as the FTC's Linda Khan found a way to strip their monopoly protection.
