Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Research Integrity featuring Infolinx. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.

At ORCID, we believe that the global challenge of upholding research integrity is one that requires community-driven solutions. Join us for this provocative webinar series where we invite thought leaders and experts in research, cyber security, and more to share their insights about trends and emerging solutions. In this session, learn about Infolinx’s distinctive approach to combating the growing challenge of scholarly publishing fraud. Infolinx seeks to apply proven best-in-class techniques developed over decades by the consumer finance industry to the emerging integrity problems facing the scholarly publishing industry. Presenters Alan Schiffres and Don Kumka will share key insights learned by the credit card and consumer finance industries over sixty years about how to manage fraud. They will discuss the various categories of research integrity solutions currently available, how they fit together in the publishing lifecycle, and Infolinx’s unique approach to develop and deploy author “fingerprints” derived from deep data networks and powerful analytics to detect potential fraud. Infolinx was founded by seasoned senior consumer finance executives who successfully created and managed data-driven solutions for the consumer finance industry, most applicably to credit cards, where identification and mitigation of credit card fraud is an on-going and migrating challenge kept under control by increasingly sophisticated analytical solutions. Though we face significant challenges to uphold research integrity, we remain optimistic that by working together, our community can make meaningful and lasting progress towards a world where all who participate in research, scholarship, and innovation are uniquely — and reliably — identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines, borders, and time. Register for this session to be a part of community solutions for global challenges.
