Kleine Flexionsformzweifel: "X nur am Arbeiten wegen fast pleiter Firma" -> ich glaube "pleiter" ist hier richtig (nichts anderes hört sich besser an), aber so richtig gut finde ich es nicht. Vielleicht weil die Form selten ist? ("wegen fast toter Katze" z.B. geht gut)

Interesting: #English #inflectionalMorphology on a #MandarinChinese verb (or better Verb-Object construction), even if in meme context: 搬砖 ban1zhuan1 carry + brick 'do hard physical labor' + ing
Probably the fact that Mandarin Chinese also has progressive markers that follow the verb make this easier (?)

There is nothing like a fitting corpus example to light up one's day, so here we go: "After hearing all of that, I'm tireder than I thought I was."
Simultaneously one of nine sentences containing "tireder" in the Corpus of Contemporary American English aka COCA and a good description of my state of mind :)
(And yes, of course "more tired" is overall just a bit more frequent, with 301 occurrences)
