8.25/10 for #kDrama #YouAndEverythingElse - I started it because the synopsis reminded me of the outstanding #twDrama #ImperfecttUs and from beginning to end, this one suffered in comparison. For example, The concept expressed in the screenshot was better delivered by #ImperfectUs , which used quantum physics as a source of analogies and allusions. BUT the performances of the 2 leads in the #kDrama were so great they kept me going to the overlong, slightly mawkish end. The score is for them
@joakimfors @JillsJoy If you haven't already seen them my top 5 #TWDrama of the last 10 years are #SomedayOrOneDay #ImperfectUs and #ImMarriedBut (all 9.5+) also #NotAMurderStory and #ArcOfLife (both 8.5)
Drama Recs Challenge Day 4
Many #KDrama and #CDrama possibles in this #DramaRecsChallenge but the two female leads in #TWDrama #ImperfectUs simply smashed it. The show really needed them BOTH to shine darkly to soar, & they did.
Nevertheless, even though the show relies HEAVILY on quantum physics for analogies and explanations, there's no uncertainty about my pick. I'm giving this to Lin Yi Chen, the central lead (in the Drama and the image) for playing so COMPLETELY against type.

Day 20 A Drama that made you sad or made you cry

Several, but two above all

#Jdrama “I'm Back! Kotaro Lives Alone” – the sequel to Kotaro Lives Alone, the 10 year old lead stunned with his delivery of raw emotion

and for an actual 2024 Drama

#TWDrama #ImperfectUs – the last few episodes were gut-wrenchingly good

The #TWDrama #ImperfectUs will not be to everyone's taste, but it has generated a remarkable photo spread. The two leads, Lin Yi Chen (Ariel) and Hsu Wei Ning (Tiffany Ann) appear in a spread for Glass China, and besides both looking stunning, the shoot was EXCEPTIONALLY well thought out. This one image from the spread basically sums up the Drama.

Two VERY different tens overnight.

#KDrama #UnderTheGun was VERY short VERY sweet with a ridiculously pretty FL, a handsome non-tsundere ML and a simple romance well told, gratifyingly garnished with great kiss scenes

#TWDrama #ImperfectUs was, ironically, my first ever TW-Ten. It was perfect - the casting was spot on, the dialogue really nuanced (and that's just the subs!) and its maudlin-free final episode stomped me right in the feels and had me bawling like a baby. OUTSTANDING!

It's been a LOOOOOONG time since a #TWDrama has resonated with me like #ImperfectUs - it is superb! NONE of the 3 leads is a 'nice' person or particularly likeable, and especially not Lin Yi Chen's character, one of the 2 primary leads. Yet, they ARE sympathetic and relatable, and the way the relationship between her character and Hsu Wei-ning's character is depicted as an analogy of quantum mechanics' wave- particle quandary and quantum entanglement is fascinating.
Into ep 3 of #TWDrama #ImperfectUs and loving it. It is PERFECTLY named, with all the adult main characters very imperfect. Meanwhile, the leads' kid cuts through all the adults' baggage to ask the TRULY important question
#CDramas and #TWDramas are VERY different animals, but if the #TWDrama #ImperfectUS is any guide, apparently they use the SAME reference point for romance in Dramas😀
