I am starting to wonder if the Fediverse community as a whole needs to brainstorm on how it could live with Fediverse social media user interfaces made specifically for a specific social media demographic that does not care about privacy and wants automatic recommendation and hand holding.

New Fediverese social media UIs could incorporate some level of post and hashtag recommendation( There should be different levels in my opinion and the option to select preferred settings and opt out). For instance: an option to read your followed posts and recommend posts, users, and hashtags; an option to read just what you type in the search; and option to analyze just the accounts you follow. In addition, I sort of like for some of the Fediverse hold outs what tumblr does when you sign up; it asks for your interests, after someone types in there interests a client could recommend "starter" content).

If the potential UIs that I described above ever came to fruition, I think many would be concerned with their personal content being data mined without their consent. If clients are open source with additional levels of openness and transparency, the more established and or privacy respecting part of the Fediverse community might find room and ways to connect and remain connected with the users of these new, more personally invasive, UIs. I wonder, even, if what the Fediverse needs to make the these ideas feasible would be more associated organizations or more attention to established ones so developers/leadership of Fediverse platforms and clients may be able to agree on universal privacy standards such as opt-outs.
