In 1913 on #ThisDayInHistory, textile workers in #Rochester, NY, went on #strike for an #EightHourDay, a wage increase, and #union recognition. #IdaBreiman was shot dead by the owner of a tailor shop she was picketing. The strike ended in April with only union recognition gained.
