One of the early new age albums, recorded before the genre was codified. And indeed, it sounds very different from the stereotypical new age fromage — no tablas, no “ethnic” instruments, no nature sounds. Just a bunch of overlaid synth washes and drones. And I have to say, they sound absolutely gorgeous. Not much development, but the music is not fully static either, attentive listening is very rewarding...

Overall, I think it’s one of the best examples of seventies ambient music, although not quite as majestic as Irrlicht or Rainbow Dome Musick. And say what you want about the guy’s ideas, but I like that he doesn’t give a crap about appearing ridiculous...
