Jack Chambers TD speaking at #ITRN2023 at #ATUSligo says "we owe it to the people who have lost lives to take action this year". He mentions the speed limit review and the "worrying trend in driver behaviour post-Covid" which needs to be addressed.
He also notes that 1 in 3 driver fatalities have a substance in their system (by which I understand to mean drink and/or drugs).
He concludes by saying that #RoadSafety is a key concern for him as minister at present.
