In 2007 Dutch tv left out and changed passages in The Life of Mammals. The 10th episode about apes and humans wasn’t aired at all.
According to David Attenborough, the BBC would have said that they will adjust the conditions under which foreign channels are allowed to broadcast BBC programmes. For example, it would be prohibited to "fundamentally" change programs.

Look at the BBC Board/governance & you'll find the issue as Australia has with the ABC. It's so bad many of us don't watch it anymore.
Calling bullshit on intention of #BBC not to broadcast series. No-one puts the huge resources required into a series not to show it.
They are supposed to be independant from political interference. But then again, so is Australia's ABC.
This is either a spineless cave in to right wing forces or a crap marketing ploy.
The man is not only a UK treasure, but has educated the planet for most his life and certainly all of mine.
I hope someone takes on him & his last project.
