I'm watching an #IROC race from 1989, in which a young Scott Pruett years before he went to Indycar led for a while on an oval, but it reminds me of how underrated a stock car driver AJ Foyt was.

Most people remember that AJ won Daytona and probably at least some remember he regularly competed in NASCAR part-time through the 80s, but he also drove full-time in the USAC Stock division at the same time as many of his years in #Indycar and won the title multiple times. Dude could drive ANYTHING.
