We need MUCH MORE of this, and we need it from every mainstream organized religion, with (hopefully) a trickle-down effect to evangelical churches.

Too much of our barbarism in the Middle East is being framed here in the USA as the precursor to an “economic” disaster, when the real disasters are the lives being lost & endangered, the infrastructure and irreplaceable historic sites demolished in the ME, and, here at home, the unspeakable cruelty and crimes against migrants (& citizens). This is a moral crisis led by the most amoral administration ever to draw paychecks from the American government. The economics are bad, but not as grave as our moral decay.

We don’t target civilians. That is one of our military’s long-standing principles that separates us from our enemies.

Instead of reaffirming that, Hegseth slashed the Pentagon team responsible for preventing civilian casualties in the Middle East.

Now we are facing what may be the worst civilian massacre carried out by U.S. forces in decades, and the safeguards built specifically to prevent it were dismantled before the first missile was fired. #TrumpWarCrimes #ImpeachHegseth

"Declaring that no quarter will be given" is specifically prohibited by Art 23 of the Annex to the Hague Convention IV, which means it is a war crime under US domestic law by virtue of the War Crimes Act (18 U.S. Code § 2441).

The killing of Iranian children during an illegal war is an impeachable offense (not to mention a grave crime) and Congress should really act like it.
