Documents and Desktop in iCloud Drive has been so reliable (I do have offsite backups) that I would happily pay for more storage. We are using 900gb/2tb so have plenty of headspace, but this experience of my data everywhere has been just awesome. #Apple #iclouddrive

I use the latest ipadOS on my ipadpro. I dont use iCloud. I dont use iCloud Drive.
When I open the files app, iCloud Drive appears in the left area of storage places. I remove it. Next time I start files.app again, the iCloud Drive is back in the storage places area. Any idea how to remove it permanently or is this another “apple bug” to remind me to use iCloud?

Apple kończy wsparcie iCloud dla iOS 10 i macOS Sierra

Apple oficjalnie wyłączyło obsługę iCloud na urządzeniach działających pod kontrolą iOS 10 i macOS Sierra. Od teraz minimalnym wymaganiem są systemy iOS 11 lub macOS High Sierra.

Oznacza to, że kluczowe usługi takie jak iCloud Drive, Zdjęcia iCloud, Backupy iCloud, Pęk kluczy i Find My nie będą działały na starszych urządzeniach.

iOS 10 i macOS Sierra zadebiutowały we wrześniu 2016 roku. W praktyce zmiana dotyczy m.in. iPhone’a 5, iPhone’a 5c i iPada 4. generacji, które nie otrzymają już dostępu do iCloud.

W przypadku komputerów Mac sytuacja wygląda łagodniej – wszystkie modele zgodne z macOS Sierra obsługują również macOS High Sierra, więc użytkownicy mogą zaktualizować swoje urządzenia do ostatniego wspieranego systemu.
