Sebastian@iphoneblog @FrankB1274 Ich bin neu in dem Spiel mit einem #nas und ersetze gerade die #icloud inkl. Fotos dadurch. Aktueller Plan ist noch eine USB-Platte dranzuhängen und zusätzlich ein online Backup anzulegen. Aber die Angst Fotos zu verlieren ist mir noch im Nacken.

RockyC@happyborg The dream is to get my household off of #iCloud for photo and video storage AND be able to stream MY movies and shows to my devices without being spied on or upsold.
The two 12TB drives would be mirrored, so it would be 12TB total shared across 4 people and my currently tiny media collection.
But my family thinks that iPhones are magic boxes that store EVERY single photo and video they take forever and ever, and I’m tired of paying Apple $40/month.
Also, für den #diday habe ich verschiedene Tools für meinen #icloud-Exit probiert. #parachute war für Dateien super, #osxphotos ist für die #fotos die bessere Wahl. Leider ziemlich verkrampft, weil bei 50.000 Fotos mehrere Abbrüche und Duplikate aufgetreten sind. Auch die EXIF-Dateien werden von #Immich noch nicht korrekt interpretiert. Mein #vpn hat auch nicht gemerkt, dass ich das wlan verlassen habe. War nur über einen #Kurzbefehl lösbar. Aber das ist trotzdem schon alles sehr cool.
Endlich ein Backup-Tool für #icloud #fotos gefunden, dass die Albenstruktur in Ordner umsetzt. #osxphotos hat auch etwas rumgezickt, aber grundsätzlich gut funktioniert. Merke: Die Datenbank -Datei muss auf einen lokalen Rechner und nicht auf das NAS.
