Die beste Begegnung heute Morgen war aber ein Wiedehopf, der in einem Dorf im Salzburger Flachgau auf Futtersuche war.
Salzburg ist nicht berühmt für seine Wiedehopfpopulationen, darum war unsere Freude sehr groß.

Tiere sind Freunde und kein Essen oder eine Plage.
Bleibt gesund, glücklich und verliebt.

Der schlimmste Seelenschmerz ist das Fernweh.

The best encounter this morning, however, was a hoopoe foraging in a village in Salzburg's Flachgau region.
Salzburg is not famous for its hoopoe populations, so we were delighted.

Meine lieben Lebensformen,
am Freitag geht es für 4 Wochen auf die Kanaren (3 Wochen Fuerteventura und 1 Woche Lanzarote).
Das heißt viel Spaß mit Vögeln und nur kurze Hosen anhaben.
Und ich hoffe wieder ein paar tolle Bilder vom Wiedehopf machen zu können.

My dear life forms,
On Friday I'm off to the Canary Islands for 4 weeks (3 weeks on Fuerteventura and 1 week on Lanzarote).
That means lots of fun with birds and only wearing shorts.
And I hope to be able to take some great pictures of the hoopoe again.
