So Howard Miller is apparently a BIG NAME in clocks. George Nelson was a designer with Herman Miller, and Howard Miller clocks designed by Nelson are apparently even more collectible, especially their clocks from the 70s. And finally, the Howard Miller company closed last year, so their clocks will become only more collectible.

Sadly, whoever my dad originally asked to fix it trashed the entire mechanism, and it is unsalvageable. But, an entirely new and genuine mechanism can maybe be bought in Germany.

So, we're going to bite the bullet and try to restore it. I'd love to hear it chime again.
