Houston ISD's state-appointed board unanimously agreed Thursday to put 17 district properties up for sale, with the vote coming after a community member was reportedly dragged out of her seat and arrested for shouting at board members.

The district’s decision to sell the properties, which were deemed as surplus, came after voters rejected a $4.4 billion bond proposal for Houston ISD last November.
