One of my favorite places to shop in NYC is Housing Works. It raises funds to fight AIDS and homelessness by selling donated items at its dozen thrift shops around the 5 Boroughs. You can find anything and everything at Housing Works. Today, at its Park Slope shop, I found an unopened package of gold foil-stamped black pencils with Beyoncé lyrics printed on them by Longhand Pencils. They retail for $18. My price at Housing Works: $1.
