ich finde es voll cool, dass ich aus der Ferne dank Telegram meine Bots auf Fehler, Warnungen und Info Meldungen kontrollieren kann.
die log Dateien (die aktuelle und die archivierten) werden einfach automatisch passend ausgewertet.
normale Nutzer kriegen eine kleine 24h Statistik, ich eine 72h Statistik als Admin und kann mir die Meldungen auch anzeigen lassen.
niemand guckt gerne in Log Dateien rein.

JarnoFinally took the time to update my NAS. It hosts all my disks for my Proxmox cluster so taking it offline is a bit of a hassle. But, we're all good again! Also did some Unifi and Proxmox updates while I was at it. Everything is updated, rebooted, shiny and new. #homeadmin #homelab #sysadmin
FitheachLast night, I decided to change the filesystem on a removable 2TB USB drive from NTFS to EXT. I gave it the -c option to check for errors.
Came down this morning and mke2fs IS STILL GOING. 10% remaining, so I have to suffer this drive dangling from my laptop for a while longer.
Luricaun the SmolI guess I have to upgrade my home server which is mostly used for up to 20 smaller virtual machines (mostly Linux). It ran pretty nice until I had the mad idea to implement monitoring.
Any suggestions what should be used for a low cost VM environment? I am aiming for at least a 6 or 8 core CPU with 32 GB to 64 GB RAM. Probably I will be beaten to death by sysadmins if I tell that I considered using a desktop CPU. Again.
