Finally visited my neighbor James Monroe at his resting place in Richmond today. He passed on and was buried while visiting NYC on July 4th. He was not aware that former Presidents dying on July 4th would be a thing. In 1858 the State of Virginia forced poor helpless NYC to give him up (there were some building regional tensions at the time) and he was reburied near the James River in a place of honor.
