Today, I’d like to share the #hoiho with you. The Hoiho or yellow-eyed #penguin is an endemic species living at the southernmost edge of #newzealand

There are about 2.400 adult birds and some of the couples do not want to raise their chicks. Therefore, the Kiwis operate a breeding center close to Dunedin.

The short clip shows some near adult Hoihos at the center. They‘ll be set free as soon as they’re able to fend for themselves.
