A black-and-white view over the Weser in Bremen, with the Alexander von Humboldt at the Schlachte and St. Martini rising behind the waterfront.

The famous sailing ship has been permanently moored at the Schlachte since 2016 and now serves as a restaurant and event ship. St. Martini is one of Bremen’s old town churches and stands close to the Weser, right above the Martinianleger. Together, they give this part of Bremen a strong maritime and historic atmosphere. ⚓⛪

The Bremen Roland in a dark vintage look.

This stone statue has stood on Bremen’s market square since 1404 and is one of the city’s most famous landmarks. The Roland represents Bremen’s historical city rights and freedom — standing with sword and shield in front of the old city centre. Together with Bremen Town Hall, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.

A powerful symbol of the city, captured in black and white. ⚔️🏛️
