I have just discovered that my translate tool on #linux NixOS `trans` accepts #latin as language...

It is super helpful for romance languages
(if you learnt latin of course)

I will use it to strengthen my reading understanding of #Italian #Portuguese #Catalan and slowly slowly #Romanian (it is the most difficult in this group for me)

It makes me benefit from tons of almost free words from my already speaking #French & #Spanish, while at the same time having #Latin refresher/strengthener and etimological guide

It seems even modern words are tried to be converted

Nice addition to my toolbelt

EDIT: it is far from perfect though

Modo deprehendi instrumentum meum translate de nixos `trans` acceptum #latin pro lingua... Super linguas romance utile est (Si utique latine didici). Ego uti ad confirmandam lectionem meam intellectum #Italian et #Portuguese. Prodest me talentis paene verbis liberae meae iam loquentis #French & #Hispani, cum simul ductoris #Latini refrigerium/fortioris et etimologici. Videtur etiam verba moderna converti conati sunt. Nice quod praeter meum toolbelt```

=> "Nice" Niceus, nicea, niceum: from Nice, the city in Gallica-Romana Francia.... just joking ;-)

I am personnally not capable of translating in the way French -> Latin. So it will help me tremendously, even with errors anyway.
