18/10/2025 - Sunset visit to Culardoch. It's a good walk of about 12 miles there and back to this hill near Braemar in Aberdeenshire. Weather held and the wind wasn''t too bad. Bit chilly on the top as we had our tea and waited for sunset. Great long walk back in the dark.
17/10/2025 - Slowly visiting Aberdeenshire hills after sunset. Today's was Carn a' Bhacain, a fine hill north of Glen Gairn. We made the top just before sunset. We sat for about an hour and had our tea. Nice and dark on the way down. Cloudy though so no stars and a little chilly. Top walk.
08/03/2025 - An evening walk up Carn Ealasaid in Aberdeenshire for sunset. I love the hills round the upper reaches of the River Don. Another good day weather wise for a walk. We made the top just before the sun went to bed. We sat and had our tea. Stayed a bit over an hour and watched the sky darken. Cloudier than I would have liked and moon overhead so didn't get that dark. On the way back the sound of lapwings filled the air. A good trip.
02/03/2025 - Hill of Tillymorgan. Slowly making my way round the Humps of Aberdeenshire after sunset. As usual we made the top a bit early so sat and had our tea and spent an hour chatting and watching the sun slowly go down. It's not a big hill but the view all round of Aberdeenshire from the trigpoint is pretty great.
