@pedestrians1st This is the same so-called "#LabourParty" which has just given a peerage to Peter John, the man who gave away the #HeygateEstate at #ElephantAndCastle at a net loss to #SouthwarkCouncil.

It was one of the most valuable sites in London, with 2700 council homes rediced to zero. The residents were evicted, and offered spiritual counselling.

@Gustodon Yes. I very clearly remember the first time I watched #eraserhead.

I was living in a squat on the 12th floor (no lifts) of a semi-abandoned tower block (pictured) on the "notorious" Heygate Estate in South London.

I watched it on a small B+W tv.

And the scenes on the screen seemed to melt into the scenes visible, through the uncurtained night-time window, of the concrete courtyard below.

It all looked so frighteningly familiar...
