Plea for #emergency #MutualAid to help get our car fixed & 2 extra nights accommodation while we wait for repairs to be done.
Parts/services cost from Miles Automotive in Parksville is $2161.47 - after taxes to repair.
The front brakes & rotors blew, battery was weak & it died too. I'm upset because I spent $1800 only 3 weeks ago for full checkup/tuneup & got oil/fluids changed too, in Victoria & was told the car was all good except that battery is old & needs to be replaced. Nothing about the brakes.
I had saved up for those recent car mechanic services. I only have enough in bank account for mortgage & hydro payments, municipal water bill & medications for me & Mom.
The suite owners here are willing to let us stay 2 more nights with no taxes at reduced rate due to car breakdown emergency - $90/night.
Mom & I would really appreciate any financial assistance right now to help pay for costs above & help us get ourselves & car back home.
I have enough cash on hand to pay for our foods & the pricey taxi fare back to mechanics on Monday morning.
