Rough day for my heart cat (she had a biopsy yesterday for a tumor on her back leg). We had to briefly put the plastic cone of shame on her when she got around the soft collar. Sadly, she started to panic and ran all over the house, trying to get rid of it. My heart was breaking as I tried to catch her, worried that she’d hurt herself before I could get her. Got her a larger soft collar and so far, she can’t reach the boo-boo but can still eat and drink.

Picked up a half price pet shirt at Petsmart but it wouldn’t cover her boo-boo area. So, I slipped it on her brother and he didn’t seem to mind it (too much). First time I ever put clothing on a cat, ever. I have to say, it looked bizarre to see clothing on him.

A big thank you to those who replied with support and caring to my post yesterday, the day of Girlie’s biopsy. It means a lot. It’s a scary time for us until we get the results and that may take up to 2 weeks.

It’s been two years. I still think of you every single day. I still sing to you, talk to you, and am happysad when Sammy brings me one of your favorite toys, crying to announce himself with the toy in his mouth (just like you did). Grandma talks to you and Walt at the tree where we buried a bit of each of you. Jessie still dreams of you. You are missed.

#MaggieTheDog isn’t long for this world. Without her, I don’t meet #SadieTheCat (my #HeartCat) or Sadie’s people or get into fostering or find my way out of California. She was my first time knowing a pit bull (and the source of my weakness for pitties).

Glad I snuck in a visit when I went to bury Walt in March. Wish I could hug Jessie (her person), Maggie is her #HeartDog.
