Constitutional Challenges to the IT Rules, 2021: Arguments Set to Begin

The Delhi High Court began hearing petitions challenging the IT Rules, 2021. The Court has ordered issue-wise categorisation of cases into two parts - Part II and Part III of the IT Rules, 2021. The Petitioners will commence arguments on November 11, 2024.

Delhi HC issues notice on Hindutva Watch and India Hate Lab’s petition challenging the blocking of their entire websites.

The founder of research groups Hindutva Watch, and India Hate Lab which track and monitor hate speeches, hate crimes and violence committed against marginalised communities, has challenged the illegal, arbitrary and disproportionate blocking of their entire websites, by MeitY before the Delhi HC.

CPIL and SFLC.in's writ petition challenging the surveillance programmes, #CMS, #NETRA and #NATGRID, was listed for hearing today before the Delhi High Court. The matter is now listed on 16th August 2024. A transfer petition was filed before the Supreme Court, on which notice was issued on 10th October 2023.
