The beautiful Moselle valley is home to countless vineyards, where wines like the well known Riesling are made. Here you see the picturesque Hatzenport, a small town somewhere along the west bank of the river. I stayed here for a couple of days in the wonderful Rabennest, a small and cosy vacation apartment. On the last evening here, I decided to walk up the hill at the south end of the town, overlooking the river and the grapevines. I couldn't have asked for better conditions.
