Nuovo risultato internazionale per la cybersecurity offensiva italiana. DEAS, società fondata da Stefania Ranzato, ha conquistato il primo posto tra i team italiani e una posizione tra i migliori team mondiali alla "Global Cyber Skills Benchmark Ctf 2026: Project Nightfall", competizione organizzata da Hack The Box e conclusa oggi.
L'evento è considerato uno dei principali appuntamenti internazionali dedicati alle competenze offensive cyber e ha coinvolto centinaia di squadre provenienti da aziende tecnologiche, società di consulenza, università e organizzazioni specializzate nella sicurezza informatica.
Nei cinque giorni di gara, i partecipanti si sono confrontati con scenari avanzati di cyber warfare e incident response, ispirati a moderne campagne Apt state-sponsored. Le prove hanno riguardato supply chain compromise, cloud intrusion, reverse engineering, malware analysis, crittografia, blockchain security, hardware e Ics hacking, digital forensics.
DEAS ha completato tutte le 69 challenge della competizione, raccogliendo tutte le 126 flag disponibili. Il risultato, definito "full clear", è stato raggiunto soltanto da 15 realtà al mondo. La società italiana ha inoltre chiuso la gara davanti a team riconducibili o associati a grandi realtà tecnologiche globali, tra cui Microsoft e Nvidia.
Cybersecurity: DEAS first in Italy and among the top global teams at Hack The Box 2026
A new international result for Italian offensive cybersecurity. DEAS, a company founded by Stefania Ranzato, has taken first place among Italian teams and a position among the best teams worldwide at the "Global Cyber Skills Benchmark Ctf 2026: Project Nightfall" competition, organized by Hack The Box and concluded today.
The event is considered one of the main international appointments dedicated to offensive cybersecurity skills and involved hundreds of teams from technology companies, consulting firms, universities, and organizations specializing in information security.
During the five days of competition, participants faced advanced scenarios of cyber warfare and incident response, inspired by modern Apt state-sponsored campaigns. The challenges involved supply chain compromise, cloud intrusion, reverse engineering, malware analysis, cryptography, blockchain security, hardware and ICS hacking, and digital forensics.
DEAS completed all 69 competition challenges, collecting all 126 available flags. The result, defined "full clear," was achieved by only 15 entities worldwide. The Italian company also finished the competition ahead of teams linked to or associated with major global technology giants, including Microsoft and Nvidia.
