In 2011, the UN Human Rights Council adopted Resolution 16/18 to combat rising religious intolerance worldwide. During this month's #HRC52, these commitments were renewed.

At this session, we followed discussions, debates and resolutions on economic, social and cultural rights, the right to development, care and health systems, and racial discrimination.

The Human Rights Council #HRC52 took place in Geneva from 27 Feb-4 April. This session adopted 43 resolutions incl 5 led by the EU🇪🇺 and a dozen by EU Member States. Together as #TeamEurope we #StandUp4HumanRights. Read more on our website🔽

Racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia are an affront to human dignity. They have to be overcome. The EU therefore supported both the renewal of the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on #racism and of the International Working Group on the #DDPA. #HRC52
