The Illinois Department of Human Services put out a press release on the 2nd that the department had use a public website for creating maps to host maps of customers of its Division of Rehabilitation Services and recipients of Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs.
"Approximately 32,401 DRS... customer information were publicly accessible from April 2021 through September 2025.
...
Approximately 672,616 Medicaid and Medicare Savings Program recipients... information were publicly accessible from January 2022 through September 2025."
The notice states that contact information for credit reporting agencies is being included in notices sent to customers, but doesn't state that they are offering to provide any free credit monitoring.

I've been getting emails about an #FTC #settlement with #BetterHelp:
"The FTC says that BetterHelp promised to keep users’ information private but revealed data to Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Criteo for advertising purposes. This data included email addresses, IP addresses, and **personal answers to health questions**."
For sharing #PHI, apparently, they're going to send me a check for a few bucks!?! WTF?
That's the only punishment?
