So many earworms on this album.
(I can probably lessen this problem by not listening to it so much.)

Such a powerful earworm over the last couple of days from this couplet in the Health song You Died. Bonus points for waking up at 3am with it cycling in my head. 🕒 ⌛️ 💀 🎶

'What's in my bag?' with HEALTH.
The first pick is the soundtrack to Natural Born Killers.

Interesting profile of Health and their journey further into the metal / industrial worlds.
"They're lining up six hours before the show. They just scream when you go out on stage as if it's Beatlemania." Nine Inch Nails and Korn love them and they might have invented metal's sleaziest subgenre. This is the story of Health | LouderSound

It was 32º C and high humidity for most of the day, so an uncomfortable time to work from home.
Industrial seems to fit the mood of feeling hot and wrung out. Time to swim upstream in the Health catalogue.
Crack Metal and Children of Sorrow remind me of Ministry, in a good way.

Tonight’s obligatory HEALTH post features a collaboration with Filter.
That is Richard Patrick on vocals, brother of Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), and also previously a touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails.
This clip is mixed up with images from “Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence” which is a pretty trippy anime film (that probably went too hard on CGI elements for the time).

5. CONFLICT DLC - HEALTH
An album that hooked me me from the opening bars. Slick, haunting and hammering in one package. I love it.
The refrain in VIBE COP went straight to high rotation in my head: "Follow your dreams, Just keep them to yourself." 🪱
Eternal thanks to @tomroberts for introducing me to them.

Crikey, how did I miss the Chelsea Wolfe x HEALTH collaboration this year?

On the HEALTH vs NIN comparison...
I think Nine Inch Nails has a more diverse sonic pallet. Listen to The Fragile and every single song sounds like a different creature.
Meanwhile HEALTH is more like a band that made Pretty Hate Machine and have kept delivering iterations on that template. I love this tho. They go so hard using variations on these elemental electronic sounds.
